Fulgencio Misael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Matansilla AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Formerio came free, but Venancio Venceslao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Gaspar Berto made a precise shot to the right of Silvestre Rosalio. Simbolar AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspar Berto got free with Silvestre Rosalio in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvestre Rosalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Misael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Damaso Pagomari cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Venancio Venceslao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fulgencio Misael was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Matansilla AFC's zone, Benigno Eneto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venancio Venceslao came out of the goal and Benigno Eneto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damaso Pagomari charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damaso Pagomari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 59 minutes, Severiano Formerio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simbolar AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Formerio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulo Galtero's late challenge caught a Matansilla AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Galtero helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Simbolar AFC's Paulo Galtero got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Gaspar Berto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Gaspar Berto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvestre Rosalio. Simbolar AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaspar Berto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severiano Formerio in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Venceslao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benigno Eneto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 78th playminute. The crowd rose to their feet as Severiano Formerio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Venancio Venceslao. That made the score 2-3 in the 85 minute of play. If Fulgencio Misael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Matansilla AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Formerio came free, but Venancio Venceslao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Simbolar AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Simbolar AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
