The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Artemio Dayam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Ponc in the 3rd minute of play. In the 3rd match minute, Esteco AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justino Unai to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aguadita's goalkeeper Francisco Sarracino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Francisco Sarracino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Matia, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Desiderio Polo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jimeno Ponc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Artemio Dayam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evaristo Matia made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Esteco AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Eneko came free, but Artemio Dayam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Iyan might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artemio Dayam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After having played for 62 minutes, Jimeno Ponc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguadita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimeno Ponc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Desiderio Polo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esteco AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguadita the free kick. Ulises Caton charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulises Caton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Esteco AFC booed when Aguadita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulises Caton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteco AFC's Leo Chesus got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evaristo Matia took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisco Sarracino. Francisco Sarracino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Constantino Beltza hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Evaristo Matia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Sarracino having to make a save. 92 minutes into the match, Aguadita's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Chesus came free, but Francisco Sarracino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
