Ubaldo Salvidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Leon Millan came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Amaichá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Millan couldn't finish the play. Amaichá's Carmelo Elivareo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Salvidor in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Amaichá's zone, Reynaldo Naike stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmelo Elivareo came out of the goal and Reynaldo Naike tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Salvidor in the 18th minute of play forced Amaichá's goalkeeper Carmelo Elivareo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Naike notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Amaichá's Carmelo Elivareo. Carmelo Elivareo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Ubaldo Salvidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sañogasta's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Salvidor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Elivareo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reynaldo Naike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Carmelo Elivareo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Amaichá got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Maurin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Maurin during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Millan in the 38th minute of play forced Sañogasta's goalkeeper Julio Donostia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Leon Millan made a precise shot to the right of Julio Donostia. Sañogasta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edelmiro Ugutz to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Amaichá getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ruperto Estefan hit a great ball. Victor Jakue kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Dario Elizardo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 58th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute Ubaldo Salvidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Elivareo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sañogasta's Reynaldo Naike got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reynaldo Naike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Reynaldo Naike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Donostia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Ugutz in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Ugutz in the 82nd minute of play forced Sañogasta's goalkeeper Julio Donostia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Donostia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Ugutz in the 84th minute of play. Julio Donostia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Ugutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Edelmiro Ugutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Donostia having to interfere. Julio Donostia made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Leon Millan sent off a good shot on target. Julio Donostia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edelmiro Ugutz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sañogasta were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Amaichá to leave the ground with a draw.
