Alberto Taurino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Ulizes in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ignacio Cordeiro saved Chaparro FC from getting behind. In the 9th minute, Primitivo Berbiz made a precise shot to the right of Ignacio Cordeiro. Chaparro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Chaparro FC booed when Cerrito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximino Cibran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogelio Oliviero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Taurino in the 25th minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Pastor Salvadore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chaparro FC and the Cerrito players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute Alberto Taurino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Oliviero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauro Estevon hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Cerrito's Rogelio Oliviero got control of the ball when Raul Gora tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Taurino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 38 minutes, Primitivo Berbiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerrito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Primitivo Berbiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Primitivo Berbiz struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Ignacio Cordeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerrito. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Taurino to make the kick off. Rogelio Oliviero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Gora in the 54th minute of the match. Ignacio Cordeiro made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Jairo Ulizes sent off a good shot on target. If Jairo Ulizes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jairo Ulizes had several of the Chaparro FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Ignacio Cordeiro as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 71st match minute, Cerrito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Cibran to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Cerrito booed when Chaparro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Txerran didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Pastor Salvadore sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogelio Oliviero skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Alberto Taurino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chaparro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Taurino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Wilfredo Txerran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogelio Oliviero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Gora, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute.
