Silvio Astigar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marciano Aires went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Silvio Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Figueroa in the 8th minute of play. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Marciano Aires sped through Sorrento's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Silvio Astigar. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sorrento's goalkeeper Silvio Astigar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Figueroa in the 19th minute of play forced Sorrento's goalkeeper Silvio Astigar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sorrento getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ernesto Cortez hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Cipriano Figueroa in the 26th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 28 minutes into the match, Banderaló AFC's goalkeeper Lázaro Blanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amadeo Weterio. Lázaro Blanco was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Ernesto Cortez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ernesto Cortez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 34th minute Ernesto Cortez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Blanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amadeo Weterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Blanco having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Sorrento's Ernesto Cortez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lázaro Blanco. That made the score 2-2 after 40 minutes of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Ernesto Cortez made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Cipriano Figueroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Astigar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Cortez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lázaro Blanco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Banderaló AFC booed when Sorrento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Reynardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Cortez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Ernesto Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorrento's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Cortez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Acuña's late challenge caught a Banderaló AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igor Acuña helped the player get up and apologised. Igor Acuña hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Banderaló AFC defense, Igor Acuña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lázaro Blanco. The Banderaló AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lázaro Blanco should have stopped the shot. Lázaro Blanco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Weterio in the 84th minute of the match. If Ernesto Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Aldo Regis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute Ernesto Cortez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Blanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sorrento were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Banderaló AFC for a fine match.
