With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cecilio Ellande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th match minute, Gardey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Tiso to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Austin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Ellande having to interfere. Leonardo Cristofol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Animán getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Rodrigo Austin hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Animán's Leonardo Cristofol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cecilio Ellande narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Delmar Saturnin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmar Saturnin made a kick off. Gardey FC's Angel Fortun got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Austin's late challenge caught a Gardey FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Austin helped the player get up and apologised. Rodrigo Austin hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Angel Fortun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cecilio Ellande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmar Saturnin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulino Rios might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Atilano Fiz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulino Rios ran back to his position shaking his head. Angel Fortun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Animán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angel Fortun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 86th minute Angel Fortun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Fiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Austin got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Animán's Rodrigo Austin got a free kick in the 87th minute. Paulino Rios struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Atilano Fiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gardey FC. Paulino Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Angel Fortun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Animán players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gardey FC.
