Atilano Fiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Jacobo Argider's late challenge caught a Animán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobo Argider helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Encrucijada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Argider to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Cristofol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Severo Ermengol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Animán's Delmar Saturnin got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Leonardo Cristofol fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Atilano Fiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Ekain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fidel Ekain scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Atilano Fiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Paulino Adrio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Atilano Fiz. Animán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulino Adrio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Gilberto Rito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Fidel Ekain made a precise shot to the right of Atilano Fiz. Animán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Severo Ermengol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmar Saturnin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Encrucijada's Paulino Adrio got a free kick in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Saturnin in the 46th minute of play forced Encrucijada's goalkeeper Severo Ermengol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Animán players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Encrucijada were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulino Adrio to strike the kick off in the second half. Animán's Atilano Fiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Benino in the 51st minute of play. Fidel Ekain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Atilano Fiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Encrucijada defense, Leonardo Cristofol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severo Ermengol. The Encrucijada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severo Ermengol should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, Edgardo Benino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute Delmar Saturnin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Ermengol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Delmar Saturnin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Ekain took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Atilano Fiz. Atilano Fiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. 95 minutes into the match, Animán's goalkeeper Atilano Fiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fidel Ekain. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Encrucijada had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
