If Fulgencio Cesario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Txindoki got free with Dario Mouricio in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mauricio Txindoki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Altautina's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Cesario came free, but Dario Mouricio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A beautiful save bye Altautina's goalie prevented a goal. Herminio Dei's late challenge caught a Altautina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Haroldo Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Cordarrel in the 41st minute of play. The referee showed Enrique Lidon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Enrique Lidon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fulgencio Cesario to make the kick off. Amadeo Tadzio's late challenge caught a Altautina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeo Tadzio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Altautina booed when Corzuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeo Tadzio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 played minutes, Altautina's Hilario Furman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Haroldo Lazcano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Altautina reached it. A collision led to Corzuela getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Amadeo Tadzio hit a great ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Fulgencio Cesario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corzuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Cesario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dario Mouricio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Cesario, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Corzuela's Fulgencio Cesario in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Haroldo Lazcano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Llanos in the 69th minute of the match. Altautina's Cayetano Llanos got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cesar Urdin during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cesar Urdin hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Victoriano Cordarrel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Haroldo Lazcano made a huge save. Amadeo Tadzio got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 87 played minutes Corzuela got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Tadzio. The crowd rose to their feet as Altautina's Cayetano Llanos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Haroldo Lazcano. That made the score 1-1 after 89 minutes of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Corzuela's goalkeeper Haroldo Lazcano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
