Damian Tartalos short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Siro Cruz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the game, Anacleto Mon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sumalao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anfama AFC the free kick. The supporters of Anfama AFC booed when Sumalao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Mon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes, Teobaldo Tohias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sumalao and the Anfama AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Siro Cruz made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Arturo Sedeni sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 48 minutes, Damian Tartalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hilario Anaya was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Anfama AFC's zone, Anacleto Mon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siro Cruz came out of the goal and Anacleto Mon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sumalao's Anacleto Mon in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anfama AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 89th minute, Teobaldo Tohias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sumalao walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
