Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaudencio Ovando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Felix Norino came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Talamayo's Javier Nazario. But to his dismay, Javier Nazario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 16 minutes of play, Talamayo's Armando Ubelteso made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felix Norino was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 19 played minutes Talamayo got a freekick which was hit by Siro Rios. The supporters of Talamayo booed when Chorillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Galo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 24 minutes, Albino Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chorillo 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Austin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albino Austin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Severo Su made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Candido Quinteros during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Talamayo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Albino Austin 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. In the 43rd minute Albino Austin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Su saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albino Austin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Talamayo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Austin to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, one of Talamayo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Talamayo. The referee gave Chorillo a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Guaberto Haritz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Talamayo's Severo Su. 2-2. After 57 played minutes Chorillo got a freekick which was hit by Basilio Sol. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Austin in the 59th minute of play forced Talamayo's goalkeeper Severo Su to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Galo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severo Su made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Galo in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Talamayo's zone, Vicente Galo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Su came out of the goal and Vicente Galo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Galo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Severo Su tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Talamayo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chorillo .
