Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Modesto Jaen took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Paolo Cordarrol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Gil during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edgard Gil kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Ernesto Reno came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Barranca AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Reno couldn't finish the play. Edgard Gil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Gil struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Jaime Gauargi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barranca AFC. After a defensive mix-up in Burruyacú's zone, Ernesto Reno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Gauargi came out of the goal and Ernesto Reno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Reno to make the kick off. Jaime Gauargi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Reno in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Barranca AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Cordarrol came free, but Lorenzo Cutberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Burruyacú's zone, Ernesto Reno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Gauargi came out of the goal and Ernesto Reno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaime Gauargi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Reno, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Edgard Gil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Gil might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaime Gauargi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Gil ran back to his position shaking his head. When Modesto Jaen came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Burruyacú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Jaen couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute, Modesto Jaen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lorenzo Cutberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Modesto Jaen came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Burruyacú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Jaen couldn't finish the play. Paolo Cordarrol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Cutberto having to interfere. Modesto Jaen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Gauargi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgard Gil showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 90 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Reno in the 95th minute of play forced Burruyacú's goalkeeper Jaime Gauargi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barranca AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
