A wasted opportunity for Walt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Abecia in the 13th minute of play forced Walt's goalkeeper Santos Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Faustino Indalecio fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Walt's protests and gave Faustino Indalecio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Faustino Indalecio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Abecia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Santos Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dalmacio Izel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Aurelia's Dalmacio Izel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santos Torres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When Edgard Bernaldo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Walt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Bernaldo couldn't finish the play. Silvestre Ler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Gonzalez having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Silvestre Ler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Walt's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Abecia came free, but Santos Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Dalmacio Izel put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Santos Torres. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Abecia made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Ernesto Abecia notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Walt's Santos Torres. Santos Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Walt's Silvestre Ler got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgard Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Gonzalez having to interfere. The supporters of Walt booed when Aurelia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Franco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Walt's zone, Dalmacio Izel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santos Torres came out of the goal and Dalmacio Izel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernesto Abecia hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Ernesto Abecia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dalmacio Izel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Santos Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernesto Abecia in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Torres saved Walt from getting behind. Ernesto Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ernesto Abecia came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Aurelia fans jumped to their feet. Marcial Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Bernaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Dalmacio Izel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernesto Abecia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcial Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Bernaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aurelia had won after a very even match.
