With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Abecia in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Balesio saved Palomitas from getting behind. After 24 minutes, Hugo Abecia made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Palomitas's Mateo Balesio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 31 minutes, Isaias Ralondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quebrachos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaias Ralondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Abecia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Balesio having to interfere. Eusebio Sal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Chago, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Mateo Balesio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Abecia in the 42nd minute of play. Eusebio Sal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Hartz in the 44th minute of play. If Isaias Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elpidio Chago to strike the kick off in the second half.
