After a rather tough play, Herrera's Gavino Batista got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Benjamin Quinteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. Wilfredo Chan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Gaufred, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 34th match minute, Pedernal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Kauldi to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute of the match Gavino Batista sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilfredo Chan skillfully saved the ball. Saul Sanduru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Quinteros was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Pedernal's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Benjamin Quinteros struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Gustavo Seber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedernal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Herrera had won after a very even match.
