Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nemesio Muno took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Nonogasta AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Muno came free, but Jeronimo Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 5 minutes in the game, Dante Navarro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jeronimo Paulin having to interfere. After 7 played minutes Nonogasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Peli. The long shot by Cosme Florinio in the 8th minute really tested Jeronimo Paulin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Caraguatay's Joaquin Estevon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Estevez in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nonogasta AFC's Nestor Vergaray got a free kick in the 12th minute. Jeronimo Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Muno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian Estevez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Joaquin Estevon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Navarros short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Jeronimo Paulin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Segio during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Caraguatay's Benjamin Segio got a free kick in the 39th minute. Hector Benvide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Estevez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Caraguatay booed when Nonogasta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Hori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosme Florinio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jeronimo Paulin. Nonogasta AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nonogasta AFC's zone, Dante Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Paulin came out of the goal and Dante Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquin Estevon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hector Benvide's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Navarro in the 92nd minute of play forced Nonogasta AFC's goalkeeper Jeronimo Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeronimo Paulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Caraguatay supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nonogasta AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nonogasta AFC.
