In the 16th minute, Angel Matei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Silvestre Furman had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 17 minutes into the game, Hilario Theobald was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espinillos AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Idiazábal the free kick. Hilario Theobald hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Claudio Moise hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Geronimo Salbatore sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Espinillos AFC's Uriel Cruz didn't even have to move. Espinillos AFC's Uriel Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Boniel in the 41st minute of play. Uriel Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angel Matei in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th match minute, Idiazábal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Matei to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The Espinillos AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
