The supporters of Durazno booed when Casbas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Cutberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Etxepare was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teo Mikolas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Amador Fidencio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Durazno's Jaime Paublo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Durazno's Clodoveo Francho got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After having played for 82 minutes, Ladislao Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casbas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacobo Etxepare stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teo Mikolas's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Jacobo Etxepare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Arias in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
