Modesto Platon charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Modesto Platon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Ignacio Gonsalvo came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Rivas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ignacio Gonsalvo couldn't finish the play. Manuel Ferran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosendo Rumaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Txartiko in the 31st minute of play. Lorenzo Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Lorenzo Basajaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Ticho having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Gervasio Txartiko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salada's supporters rose to their feet, but Gervasio Txartiko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosendo Rumaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69thth minute of the game Gervasio Txartiko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rivas AFC's Rosendo Rumaldo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Basajaun notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Salada's Miguel Ticho. Miguel Ticho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Celedonio Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salada's protests and gave Celedonio Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. Celedonio Vidal hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rivas AFC's zone, Manuel Ferran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Rumaldo came out of the goal and Manuel Ferran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ignacio Gonsalvo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rosendo Rumaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Ferran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Ferran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
