If Celedonio Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Médanos's Tomás Edur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Argider in the 10th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Médanos's goalkeeper Tomás Edur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amancio Nataniel. After a defensive mix-up in Cavanagh's zone, Fermin Kaiet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Procopio came out of the goal and Fermin Kaiet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Cecilio Luken put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fausto Procopio. Cavanagh's Fausto Procopio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Cordarrell in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Cavanagh getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Gaston Asteri hit a great ball. Cecilio Luken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Cavanagh's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Cordarrell came free, but Fausto Procopio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Celedonio Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Celedonio Cordarrell came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Médanos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celedonio Cordarrell couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Enrique Rodas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celedonio Cordarrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carolo Argider made a kick off. Fausto Procopio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 played minutes Celedonio Cordarrell rounded Cavanagh's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. Tomás Edur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Argider, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Cecilio Luken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Cecilio Luken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Médanos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cecilio Luken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67thth minute of the game Celedonio Cordarrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cavanagh's Fausto Procopio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes in the game, Celedonio Cordarrell fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fausto Procopio having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Gaston Asteri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cecilio Luken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cecilio Luken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Celedonio Cordarrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Procopio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Médanos's Cecilio Luken slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fausto Procopio. That made the score 0-5 after 86 minutes of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Cecilio Luken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
