Melquiades Lizar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Astor Mosen came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Coropampa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Mosen couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Coropampa's Gervasio Ovando got a free kick in the 14th minute. Ceferino Chorache kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Coropampa's zone, Melquiades Lizar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvio Berenguer came out of the goal and Melquiades Lizar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Astor Mosen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tomas Luzea fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coropampa's protests and gave Tomas Luzea a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Luzea hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. If Astor Mosen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Paraíso FC's Efrain Rainerio got a free kick in the 40th minute. Cristian Eli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Berenguer having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melquiades Lizar made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Lázaro Marz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Coropampa's Tomas Luzea got a free kick in the 57th minute. Cristian Eli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elvio Berenguer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Lizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Cristian Eli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melquiades Lizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Elvio Berenguer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aldo Donzel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Guillerme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Donzel in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Coropampa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Paraíso FC.
