The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Nesto in the 8th minute of play forced Manantiales's goalkeeper Gustavo Caitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pagancillo's Mateo Nesto, in the 10th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Pagancillo. The supporters of Pagancillo booed when Manantiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmar Telesforo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Placido Jerico sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Manantiales's Gustavo Caitano didn't even have to move. Siro Raphael who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Maximino Orkatz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mateo Nesto took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Caitano. Gustavo Caitano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bernabe Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Orkatz having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Adrian Quinito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Siro Raphael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Orkatz having to interfere. With a little luck, Pagancillo's Maximino Orkatz got control of the ball when Siro Raphael tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mateo Nesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gustavo Caitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Caitano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Nesto in the 42nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Siro Raphael made the kick off in the second half. Gustavo Caitano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Valiente in the 51st minute. In the 65th minute Mateo Nesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Caitano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabe Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bernabe Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
