After having played for 3 minutes, Saul Gregory managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rescate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Gregory was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rescate booed when Libertad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Meder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basilio Steven struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Cayetano Lordi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rescate. Aquilino Meder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Steven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Lordi having to interfere. The supporters of Libertad booed when Rescate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Gregory didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Libertad's Aquilino Meder in the 23rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Leo Abeijon was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Rescate through an amazing save. Libertad's Cayetano Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Gregory in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Basilio Steven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Basilio Steven managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rescate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Steven was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cayetano Lordi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th minute, Paulo Enol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Libertad getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Paulo Enol hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Rescate's Damaso Dantel tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Basilio Steven was the one to do the kick off. Justino Ferrando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cayetano Lordi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basilio Steven, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Saul Gregory managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rescate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Gregory was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Basilio Steven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Lordi having to interfere. After 80 minutes, Raimundo Chinto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Libertad and the Rescate players grew even worse after the yellow card. Raimundo Chinto hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Aquilino Meder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Libertad's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquilino Meder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Abeijon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Aquilino Meder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rescate eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
