Delmar Chago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Tomi in the 26th minute of the match. After 34 played minutes Vilmer AFC got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Cordero. Matancilla's Victorio Jorrin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vilmer AFC. Siro Tomi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delmar Chago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Ceferino Thomas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Delmar Chago, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Siro Tomi was the one to do the kick off.
