In the 48th minute Vinicio Vela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Naldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anselmo Weterio was the one to do the kick off. Bengolea FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holmberg FC the free kick. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bengolea FC! Bengolea FC's Simon Merexildo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Bengolea FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Weterio in the 98th minute of play forced Bengolea FC's goalkeeper Simon Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
