Emilio Chano took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elvio Eguerdi. Elvio Eguerdi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Elpidio Cloyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Unai in the 17th minute of the match. Roque Unai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Unai in the 22nd minute of play forced Lapataia FC's goalkeeper Elpidio Cloyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 played minutes Lapataia FC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Valente. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lapataia FC's goalkeeper Elpidio Cloyo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lapataia FC's Elpidio Cloyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Unai in the 27th minute of play. Maximo Bartoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Cloyo having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Cervantes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Chap. In the 36th minute Emilio Chano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Eguerdi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Roque Unai made a precise shot to the right of Elpidio Cloyo. Lapataia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Elpidio Cloyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Bartoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Chano to make the kick off. If Roque Unai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Benino hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Cirilo Bernal, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Maximo Bartoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the game, Roque Unai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Elpidio Cloyo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Lapataia FC's Alejo Mambru got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Teo Odon kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Silvio Sal charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Lapataia FC's zone, Roque Unai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Cloyo came out of the goal and Roque Unai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Teo Odon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elpidio Cloyo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Unai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Macerio in the 93rd minute of play forced Cervantes AFC's goalkeeper Elvio Eguerdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cervantes AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
