Feliciano Panfilo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Valentin Luzaide made a huge save. Saverio Gaur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lanús FC's Valentin Luzaide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Gaur in the 9th minute of play. Narciso Goren hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Lanús FC's Honorio Eliazar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Feliciano Panfilo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Valentin Luzaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliciano Panfilo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Valentin Luzaide made a huge save. Saverio Gaur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Luzaide read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celedonio Bartoli in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeo Mazuste saved Sarmiento AFC from getting behind. If Celedonio Bartoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Saverio Gaur recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Valentin Luzaide. Saverio Gaur showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 47 minutes into the game, Lanús FC's Celedonio Bartoli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeo Mazuste made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celedonio Bartoli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Feliciano Panfilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Luzaide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saverio Gaur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Panfilo in the 59th minute of play forced Lanús FC's goalkeeper Valentin Luzaide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliciano Panfilo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. When Feliciano Panfilo came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Sarmiento AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Panfilo couldn't finish the play. Romeo Mazuste made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Celedonio Bartoli sent off a good shot on target. Feliciano Panfilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celedonio Bartoli got free with Romeo Mazuste in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luciano Bingen's late challenge caught a Sarmiento AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Bingen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sarmiento AFC booed when Lanús FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Bingen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Sarmiento AFC defense, Celedonio Bartoli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Mazuste. The Sarmiento AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Mazuste should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Lanús FC's zone, Feliciano Panfilo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Luzaide came out of the goal and Feliciano Panfilo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Lanús FC's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Gaur came free, but Valentin Luzaide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saverio Gaur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Valentin Luzaide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Luzaide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Panfilo in the 96th minute of play. 98 minutes into the game, Sarmiento AFC's Feliciano Panfilo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valentin Luzaide made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
