In the 3rd minute, Serafino Bidun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erubiel Hug in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carolo Medero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Leonel Jerrald blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carolo Medero having to make a save. Joaquin Felipillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Libertad in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Monteros FC booed when Perdido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Urti didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristo Libertad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monteros FC's Carolo Medero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Jerrald in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Perdido's Serafino Bidun got a free kick in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Andres Sayvion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monteros FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Perdido the free kick. Erubiel Hug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Medero having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Monteros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Jerrald came free, but Carolo Medero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Esteban Illan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erubiel Hug couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute Leonel Jerrald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carolo Medero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
