Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Melchor Jakue took the kick off in the first half of the match. Leandro Ubelteso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Javiero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Ubelteso came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Pigüé's Melchor Jakue. But to his dismay, Melchor Jakue quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pigüé's Norberto Nisio got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Melchor Jakue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Jacinto Javiero notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Calchaquí's Leandro Ubelteso. Leandro Ubelteso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jacinto Javiero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 27 minutes, Melchor Jakue managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pigüé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melchor Jakue was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacinto Javiero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Ubelteso having to interfere. Leandro Ubelteso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melchor Jakue, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Melchor Jakue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Guido Tajo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norberto Nisio hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Guaberto Maurino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guido Tajo in the 49th minute. The Calchaquí players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pigüé were winning 0-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Federico Orland to strike the kick off in the second half. Federico Orland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pigüé's goalkeeper Guaberto Maurino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Astor Corderun's late challenge caught a Calchaquí's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Astor Corderun helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pigüé's Astor Corderun got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Bartolo Urre hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Federico Orland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Guido Tajo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calchaquí's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Tajo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Maurino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guido Tajo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Maurino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Astor Corderun got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 89th minute, Astor Corderun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute of the match Calchaquí got a corner. Pigüé's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Blas Eneko ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jacinto Javiero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aristides Benvido during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Calchaquí's Aristides Benvido got a free kick in the 96th minute. Jacinto Javiero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Ubelteso having to interfere. When the match was over Pigüé could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Calchaquí throughout the match.
