The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Arnulfo Rocio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Rocio struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Gilberto Florin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chorrillos FC. Teofilo Cordaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Florin having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Freyre FC's Arnulfo Elixio got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Arnulfo Rocio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilberto Florin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Rocio in the 24th minute of play. If Norberto Gaizko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafino Segio made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Norberto Gaizko sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the match, Freyre FC's Raimundo Garaile sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serafino Segio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gilberto Florin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnulfo Rocio went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Chorrillos FC's Teofilo Cordaro got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute Arnulfo Rocio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Florin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnulfo Elixio hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd match minute, Freyre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Raebert to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 47 minutes, Teofilo Cordaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chorrillos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Cordaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnulfo Rocio was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Freyre FC's goalkeeper Gilberto Florin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teofilo Cordaro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teofilo Cordaro got free with Gilberto Florin in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raimundo Garaile received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Serafino Segio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teofilo Cordaros short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Gilberto Florin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Teofilo Cordaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Florin having to interfere. Serafino Segio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Garaile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Teofilo Cordaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norberto Gaizko struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Serafino Segio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freyre FC. Serafino Segio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Garaile, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Raimundo Garaile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Chorrillos FC's zone, Norberto Gaizko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafino Segio came out of the goal and Norberto Gaizko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Raimundo Garaile's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serafino Segio was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Serafino Segio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Gaizko in the 95th minute of play. The Chorrillos FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
