The referee ignored Freyre FC's protests and gave Arnulfo Elixio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24thth minute of the game Norberto Gaizko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hernández FC's Angelino Sanchez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Hernández FC's Gonzalo Gasteiz got a free kick in the 26th minute. Raimundo Garaile's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelino Sanchez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raimundo Garaile to make the kick off. Norberto Gaizko came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Angelino Sanchez could save by the left post. Hernández FC were furious when Melchor Aimar was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. One of Hernández FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Freyre FC:s goal. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Freyre FC. Enzo Raebert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Nabar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Florin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Gartzi in the 78th minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Norberto Gaizko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hernández FC's Angelino Sanchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Garaile in the 88th minute of play. Norberto Gaizko struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Angelino Sanchez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Freyre FC. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
