Delmar Pierres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Benito Bras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Daireaux getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Cipriano Lehen hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the game, Ovidio Leocadio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Daireaux's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zapiola the free kick. Ovidio Leocadio kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Adolfo Corderro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Delmar Pierres made a huge save. Maximo Figueroa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Chico, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Benino during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes Zapiola got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Benino. Zapiola's Maximo Figueroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Leocadio in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute Ovidio Leocadio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Figueroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximo Figueroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Chico in the 27th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Daireaux:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Zapiola:s goal. When Daireaux's Ovidio Leocadio in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zapiola's goalie prevented a goal. Cipriano Lehen hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Calisto in the 46th minute of play forced Daireaux's goalkeeper Delmar Pierres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Corderro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Delmar Pierres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ovidio Leocadio made a kick off. Delmar Pierres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Calisto in the 53rd minute of the match. Delmar Pierres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Calisto in the 54th minute of play. If Adolfo Corderro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dario Chico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Maximo Figueroa made a huge save. Nicanor Calisto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Delmar Pierres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Corderro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Nicanor Calisto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Daireaux's goalkeeper Delmar Pierres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elpidio Formerio hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when Dario Chico in the 76th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Maximo Figueroa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Leocadio in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Daireaux booed when Zapiola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Bras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Llorienzo's late challenge caught a Zapiola's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Llorienzo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Daireaux's Damian Llorienzo got a free kick in the 81st minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Adolfo Corderro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zapiola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Corderro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84thth minute of the game Nicanor Calisto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Daireaux's Delmar Pierres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zapiola walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
