Gervasio Marin charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gervasio Marin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Armando Giro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Hilario Ladio made a huge save. A collision led to Nieves AFC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. The supporters of Calvo booed when Nieves AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Eli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nieves AFC's Armando Giro got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th match minute, Calvo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Marin to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Calvo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Nieves AFC. Igor Esquipula stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hilario Ladio. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Galeno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saul Oier was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Calvo's zone, Armando Giro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Ladio came out of the goal and Armando Giro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Alfredo Galeno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nieves AFC's Saul Oier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredo Galeno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Oier having to interfere. Armando Giro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Hilario Ladio made a huge save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ceferino Urre made a kick off. With a little luck, Nieves AFC's Saul Oier got control of the ball when Alfredo Galeno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ceferino Urre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredo Galeno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Oier having to interfere. Ceferino Urre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Oier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Giro in the 72nd minute of play forced Calvo's goalkeeper Hilario Ladio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Esquipula, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Calvo's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Giro came free, but Hilario Ladio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Javier Orlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 88 minutes, Ceferino Urre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calvo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceferino Urre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Nieves AFC's Ciro Elequemedo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Calvo's Alfredo Galeno got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nieves AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
