Rolando Ponc made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Teodosio Gregory sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodosio Gregory got free with Rolando Ponc in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 8th play minute Teodosio Gregory came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rolando Ponc. 1-0. If Manuel Peli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Manuel Peli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chaquiago's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Peli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Ponc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
