The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteve Paskal during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Esteve Paskal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Corderro in the 6th minute of the match. Bonifacio Totakoxe struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Marcelo Ekhi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horqueta AFC. In the 12thth minute of the game Cornelio Corderro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yalapa AFC's Marcelo Ekhi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornelio Corderro in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Ekhi saved Yalapa AFC from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Bonifacio Totakoxe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd match minute, Yalapa AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Galoer to maneuver through the defense. In the 25thth minute of the game Cornelio Corderro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yalapa AFC's Marcelo Ekhi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yalapa AFC's goalkeeper Marcelo Ekhi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After recieving a nice pass, Horqueta AFC's Adrian Balesio tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Bonifacio Totakoxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bonifacio Totakoxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornelio Corderro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Ekhi having to interfere. A collision led to Yalapa AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Marciano Oton hit a great ball. Cornelio Corderro took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Ekhi. Marcelo Ekhi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aristides Chan to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Corderro in the 60th minute of play forced Yalapa AFC's goalkeeper Marcelo Ekhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Cornelio Corderro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horqueta AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelio Corderro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Yalapa AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Sebastian Galoer hit a great ball. In the 70th match minute, Horqueta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Corderro to maneuver through the defense. In the 71stth minute of the game Aristides Chan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horqueta AFC's Mauro Hori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Aristides Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauro Hori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Chan in the 80th minute of play. Cornelio Corderro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Ekhi having to make a save. Marcelo Ekhi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bonifacio Totakoxe in the 89th minute. Yalapa AFC's Marcelo Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Corderro in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Yalapa AFC's goalkeeper Marcelo Ekhi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mauro Hori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aristides Chan went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
