Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cayetano Etxepare started the match with the kick off. In the 9thth minute of the game Reynaldo Laurgain who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Escalada's Eulalio Vidal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Reynaldo Laurgain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Norberto Ponc managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Escalada's Flavio Jatsu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Flavio Jatsu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 25 minutes into the match, Patay's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Jatsu came free, but Norberto Ponc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Damaso Osoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute Marcelo Iyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amador Fortun's late challenge caught a Escalada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amador Fortun helped the player get up and apologised. Amador Fortun hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Flavio Jatsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Ponc having to interfere. Flavio Jatsu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Norberto Ponc made a huge save. Escalada's Eulalio Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Etxepare in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Patay's Damaso Osoitz got a free kick in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Iyan made a kick off. When Patay's Reynaldo Laurgain in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Escalada's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 58 minutes, Marcelo Iyan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Escalada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Iyan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Patay's Guaberto Henrico got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Aaron Goyo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Ponc showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hipolito Arixo kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Laurgain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eulalio Vidal. Escalada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Laurgain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Jatsu in the 76th minute of play forced Patay's goalkeeper Norberto Ponc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebio Fix kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Pascual Eskuin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Escalada's Flavio Jatsu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norberto Ponc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
