The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simon Xabel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Teofilio having to interfere. If Simon Xabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Astor Calisto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Burutzagi in the 9th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Clodoveo Berenguer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Urusmayo AFC's goalkeeper Luciano Teofilio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severiano Inko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Burutzagi kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Urusmayo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Xabel came free, but Luciano Teofilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luciano Teofilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Emenon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severiano Inko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Astor Calisto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltasar Matteo's late challenge caught a Urusmayo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Matteo helped the player get up and apologised. Baltasar Matteo hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Hector Burutzagi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urusmayo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Burutzagi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Astor Calisto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clodoveo Berenguer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Luciano Teofilio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arnulfo Lizar struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Astor Calisto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urusmayo AFC. Hector Burutzagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Calisto having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simon Xabel made a kick off. Clodoveo Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Luciano Teofilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 52nd minute, Pascual Castulo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Clodoveo Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luciano Teofilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Xabel in the 55th minute of the match. Clodoveo Berenguer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute Clodoveo Berenguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Teofilio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Simon Xabel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luciano Teofilio. Urusmayo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simon Xabel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Simon Xabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Xabel took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luciano Teofilio. Luciano Teofilio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Urusmayo AFC's Hector Burutzagi got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Urusmayo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Xabel came free, but Luciano Teofilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Adolfo Patrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Lizar sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Astor Calisto threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Arnulfo Lizar this time. 96 minutes into the match, Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Astor Calisto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Burutzagi. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Esmeralda AFC had won after a very even match.
