Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Quetrequén's Romulo Iruinea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes, Aquiles Eder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quetrequén and the Tafí players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Quetrequén was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Eder to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Quetrequén getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Teobaldo Bastian hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Adriana Luzaide sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Quetrequén's Hugo Javiar didn't even have to move. Hernan Nikola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Hugo Javiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Tafí got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Benvide. With an all-out effort, Quetrequén's Javier Chuan threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Romulo Iruinea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 17 played minutes Tafí got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Nayely. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Romulo Iruinea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quetrequén's supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Iruinea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Javier Chuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florentino Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Hernan Nikola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tafí's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Nikola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Javiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Javier Chuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Iruinea in the 29th minute of the match. Javier Chuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Bastian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Quetrequén's zone, Niceto Noe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Javiar came out of the goal and Niceto Noe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugo Javiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Urbes in the 42nd minute of the match. Aquiles Eder got his second yellow card in the match during the 43rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 43rd minute, Aquiles Eder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Javiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Nikola, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When Romulo Iruinea fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quetrequén's protests and gave Romulo Iruinea a yellow card for diving instead. Romulo Iruinea hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernan Nikola to make the kick off. Romulo Iruinea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Javier Chuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hernan Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florentino Urbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Tafí's Hernan Nikola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Javiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Romeo Nayely had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Javiar. Quetrequén's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeo Nayely was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 83 minutes into the game, Abelardo Ramone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Javier Chuan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Ramone in the 90th minute of play forced Tafí's goalkeeper Javier Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hernan Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Tafí supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tafí would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
