Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Silvestre Abreu made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Dennehy's goalkeeper Sixto Laurin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Gai. Sixto Laurin made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Froilan Calvet sent off a good shot on target. Froilan Calvet came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sixto Laurin could save by the left post. Bernardino Laffitte struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Sixto Laurin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvear AFC. Alvear AFC's Froilan Calvet got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sixto Laurin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Froilan Calvet in the 29th minute. After 35th play minutes Bernardino Laffitte shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Sixto Laurin and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Alvear AFC's zone, Danilo Librado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristo Quintyn came out of the goal and Danilo Librado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvestre Abreu might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristo Quintyn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvestre Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. When Enrique Gai fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvear AFC's protests and gave Enrique Gai a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Alvear AFC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Gai. Danilo Librado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Cristo Quintyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardino Laffitte to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 played minutes Dennehy got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Normando. Dennehy's Danilo Librado got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Dennehy's Silvestre Abreu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. When Alejandro Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvear AFC's protests and gave Alejandro Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. Alejandro Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Sixto Laurin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardino Laffitte in the 72nd minute of the match. A collision led to Dennehy getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Leonardo Peter hit a great ball. If Silvestre Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Christian Jayvier fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvear AFC's protests and gave Christian Jayvier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, one of Alvear AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alvear AFC. When the match had been going on for 80 minutes, Dennehy's Eugenio Ostadar got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cristo Quintyn. Bernardino Laffitte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Sixto Laurin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Froilan Calvet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes, Marcelino Palben mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alvear AFC and the Dennehy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alvear AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! Dennehy's Sixto Laurin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Calvet in the 100th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Dennehy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
