The referee ignored Siambón FC's protests and gave Alberto Ixona a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Ixona kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Forres's Genaro Luzaide got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Hernan Montez in the 38th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Genaro Luzaide's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haroldo Etxatxu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Siambón FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Forres the free kick. In the 81st minute, Virgilio Enekoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Forres's Horacio Oinatz to fire away a dangerous shot which Haroldo Etxatxu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Fausto Lucila was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
