Isaias Koldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Xabat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Diego Cucao made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Teobaldo Montrelle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ballester FC's Isaias Koldo got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Xabat might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Cucao. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Xabat ran back to his position shaking his head. Diego Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Koldo in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Isaias Koldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Ler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Laureano Luken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquiles Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 34 minutes into the match, Ballester FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Ler came free, but Laureano Luken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Aquiles Ledesma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Luken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ballester FC fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Ballester FC's Gustavo Xabat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 42nd minute, Isaias Koldo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Diego Cucao, passed just outside the right post. If Gustavo Xabat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaias Koldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Xabat in the 53rd minute of play forced Cachiyuyu's goalkeeper Diego Cucao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Teobaldo Montrelle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teobaldo Montrelle kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Isaias Koldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ballester FC's Isaias Koldo got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Gabriel Ler notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ballester FC's Laureano Luken. Laureano Luken was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Isaias Koldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballester FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaias Koldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Cucao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diego Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Xabat in the 75th minute of play. Diego Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Koldo in the 76th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Isaias Koldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Cucao was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Diego Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Koldo in the 81st minute of play. Adrian Atarrabi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diego Cucao. Cachiyuyu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 91st minute Isaias Koldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Cucao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laureano Luken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Ler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, Eulalio Elodio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballester FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachiyuyu the free kick. 95 minutes into the game, one of Ballester FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Cachiyuyu. Fabio Gimenez stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Laureano Luken. 3-2.
