Ballester FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calmayo the free kick. A collision led to Ballester FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Marcos Handi hit a great ball. If Isaias Koldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Xabat during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gustavo Xabat kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Bonifacio Bartolome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Luken having to interfere. Bonifacio Bartolome's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laureano Luken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After 42 minutes, Celestino Castulo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calmayo and the Ballester FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Calmayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Castulo to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Garin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Xabat in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Bartolome in the 67th minute of play forced Ballester FC's goalkeeper Laureano Luken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vladimiro Liher charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Calmayo's goalkeeper Rolando Garin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Calmayo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
