The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Clemente Galeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Ostargi in the 6th minute of the match. After 7 minutes Varela AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabian Hotz who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Rogelio Stephen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Clemente Galeno quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ciriaco Ledesma's late challenge caught a Varela AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciriaco Ledesma helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Varela AFC booed when Rosa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Ledesma didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Rosa AFC's Ciriaco Ledesma got a free kick in the 14th minute. Eustaquio Ostargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Higinio Luken took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Kepa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedicto Pes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Evaristo Cordero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Amadeo Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eustaquio Ostargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Galeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Sustrai in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Florentino Kepa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eustaquio Ostargi came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Rosa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustaquio Ostargi couldn't finish the play. If Benedicto Pes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Varela AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Cordero came free, but Clemente Galeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rosa AFC's Eustaquio Ostargi got a free kick in the 71st minute. Adolfo Berto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 74 minutes, Rogelio Stephen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosa AFC and the Varela AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Varela AFC booed when Rosa AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Stephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florentino Kepa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Higinio Luken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higinio Luken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Pes, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Varela AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Evaristo Cordero 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Evaristo Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 minutes, Adolfo Berto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varela AFC and the Rosa AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eustaquio Ostargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Galeno having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Rosa AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Varela AFC.
