After 19 played minutes, Aike AFC's Eustaquio Vidal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gabriel Mateus came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aike AFC reached it. If Florencio Beltza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Roldanillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florencio Beltza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maggolo AFC's Gabriel Mateus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Maggolo AFC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Maggolo AFC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ernesto Izel hit a great ball. 35 minutes in the game, Arnoldo Florian fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gabriel Mateus having to interfere. If Arnoldo Florian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Maggolo AFC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Abelardo Ricart hit a great ball. Gabriel Mateus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Florian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Leizarraga hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Florencio Beltza hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
