Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rodrigo Montay took the kick off in the first half of the match. Vela's Santiago Sazon got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Montay struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Melquiades Ovando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vela. Ezequiel Maule sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Vela's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Deunoro came free, but Amadeo Oriol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Valentin Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Deunoro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Oriol having to make a save. Pedro Bartoli's late challenge caught a Providencia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Bartoli helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Bartoli hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 30 played minutes, Providencia's Ivan Argina shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeo Oriol came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Providencia reached it. If Santiago Sazon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Maule fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Oriol having to interfere. Ezequiel Maule received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Amadeo Oriol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Santiago Sazon in the 37th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ezequiel Maule recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Providencia's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Montay came free, but Melquiades Ovando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel Maule to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Vela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Garin to maneuver through the defense. After 55 minutes of play Vela's Pedro Bartoli was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Pedro Bartoli kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Santiago Sazon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vela's Bartolo Quintana in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Providencia's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Sazon in the 62nd minute of play forced Providencia's goalkeeper Melquiades Ovando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Iker Demario's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Ovando was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. If Santiago Sazon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Demario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Ovando having to interfere. Santiago Sazon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Melquiades Ovando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Feliciano Jaume fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Providencia's protests and gave Feliciano Jaume a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vela booed when Providencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Jaume didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Ovando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Sazon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Demario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Melquiades Ovando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Santiago Sazon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Providencia's zone, Bartolo Quintana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Ovando came out of the goal and Bartolo Quintana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Santiago Sazon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute Rodrigo Montay suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. During the 91st minute of the match Feliciano Jaume completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Feliciano Jaume a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Providencia getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Feliciano Jaume hit a great ball. Blas Goiz kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Vela players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
