Naranjito AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erubiel Odilon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Tiniebra in the 24th minute of play forced Tatón's goalkeeper Segundo Bembe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Felix Tulio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Nazario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Naranjito AFC got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Elorri. Tatón's Felix Tulio got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Ceferino Chap got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felix Tulio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Felix Tulio made a precise shot to the right of Roman Nazario. Naranjito AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tatón's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Tulio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Nazario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Segundo Bembe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Odilon, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 69 minutes, Constantino Ongile mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Naranjito AFC and the Tatón players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tatón booed when Naranjito AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Ongile didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Emiliano Quin from long distance, 70 minutes into the match, got Roman Nazario's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tatón's Segundo Bembe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Tiniebra in the 87th minute of play. Flavio Tiniebra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Segundo Bembe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Nazario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Chap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
