Desaguaredo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspar Bilbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eloy Acosta to make the kick off. Romulo Bixintxo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rigoberto Costante having to make a save. Desaguaredo's Rigoberto Costante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Desaguaredo from getting a goal against them. Astor Bidari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Bilbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Romulo Bixintxo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Rigoberto Costante made a huge save. If Romulo Bixintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rigoberto Costante didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romulo Bixintxo went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Aquilino Carlomagno fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Virreyes FC's protests and gave Aquilino Carlomagno a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Aquilino Carlomagno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Teobaldo Senin put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Astor Bidari. After a defensive mix-up in Virreyes FC's zone, Gaspar Bilbo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Bidari came out of the goal and Gaspar Bilbo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
