Nicanor Gaxan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roque Emeterio having to make a save. Gutenberg's Roque Emeterio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Santio in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Santio came free, but Roque Emeterio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Graneros AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ramon Peyo hit a great ball. Zeledon Maties's late challenge caught a Gutenberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeledon Maties helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Graneros AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Maties to maneuver through the defense. Hector Roderigo's late challenge caught a Gutenberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Roderigo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Hector Roderigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Graneros AFC's zone, Gaston Montrelle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramiro Gomesano came out of the goal and Gaston Montrelle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gaston Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Graneros AFC defense, Denis Baleren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramiro Gomesano. The Graneros AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Gomesano should have stopped the shot. Denis Baleren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Gomesano having to interfere. Graneros AFC's Nicanor Gaxan suffered a concussion in the 43rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 42 minutes into the game, one of Gutenberg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Eulalio Chuan placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denis Baleren to strike the kick off in the second half. Gaston Montrelle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Baleren was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
