Narciso Marcones's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Eguen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Genaro Llorienzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Baraquiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. When Elias Gilabert came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Miramar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Gilabert couldn't finish the play. Eugenio Eguen made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Narciso Marcones sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Miramar 's Robustiano Bernard got a free kick in the 14th minute. Gómez were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Miramar 's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fausto Estevon took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Leo Ulizes advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 16th minute. Miramar 's Elias Gilabert was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Miramar 's Narciso Marcones got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sandaili charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Sandaili the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 27 minutes into the game, one of Gómez:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 31st minute, Robustiano Bernard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Robustiano Bernard was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 32 minutes had been played. In the 42nd match minute, Gómez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Ibon to maneuver through the defense. When Victor Ponciano came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Gómez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Ponciano couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Florentino Ikatz made the kick off in the second half. Miramar 's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Gilabert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Eguen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lino Arotza scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eugenio Eguen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 61 minutes, Tadeo Ibon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gómez and the Miramar players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Gómez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Ibon to maneuver through the defense. Eugenio Eguen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Gilabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Gilabert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Eugenio Eguen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gómez's Victor Ponciano got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Elias Gilabert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugenio Eguen. Gómez's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias Gilabert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Miramar 's Elias Gilabert got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tadeo Ibon got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Tadeo Ibon hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Elias Gilabert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Eguen having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Florentino Ikatz managed to get in a good position for a shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Gilabert couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Miramar players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
