Vicente Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bartolo Lertxun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florencio Frutos might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicente Neto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florencio Frutos ran back to his position shaking his head. Honorato Mincho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Lluis's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Vicente Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Frutos in the 32nd minute of play.
