The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ramiro Montez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rigoberto Quinton hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Honorio Locaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Emilio Clodio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paranay's Emilio Clodio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Locaio in the 12th minute of play. Ramiro Montez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Tomás Betadur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ovidio Lleir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talamuyana AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Lleir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Clodio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro Montez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute Ovidio Lleir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Clodio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, David Jerano fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tomás Betadur, passed just outside the right post. Emilio Clodio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Lleir in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Lleir in the 34th minute of play forced Paranay's goalkeeper Emilio Clodio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Clodio came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Talamuyana AFC's Honorio Locaio. But to his dismay, Honorio Locaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Esteban Araoz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Esteban Araoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute Nicolas Aballe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Betadur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Jerano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Paranay getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. David Jerano hit a great ball. Ramiro Montez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Tomás Betadur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ramiro Montez came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Paranay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Montez couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 64 in the game by Honorio Locaio from a close distance when the talented Emilio Clodio managed to make a qualified save. Paranay's players were relieved. Honorio Locaio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emilio Clodio having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Montez in the 78th minute of play forced Talamuyana AFC's goalkeeper Tomás Betadur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Ramiro Montez managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Talamuyana AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
